Less than 30 minutes from the farmhouse is Bagno Vignoni.
From the recent to the more distant past, the mysterious allure of Bagno Vignoni's hot springs has kept its magic intact. Its waters (along with the extraordinary architectural setting that surrounds them) have fascinated great artists and historical figures: Tarkovsky chose this village to set his Nostàlgia there, but even before him it was Fellini, Lorenzo the Magnificent, Pius II, Saint Catherine of Siena, Roman emperors and many others who were enchanted by this evocative square and the wonders of its waters.

Their stories are linked by a single, mysterious underground current: the thermal waters of Bagno Vignoni.

Located near the Via Francigena and once known as Bagni di Vignone or Bagni a Vignone, this place has become a world-renowned tourist destination thanks to its thermal waters, which have been used since Roman times. It is also said that these waters were home to nymphs.

For hiking enthusiasts, the Bagno Vignoni Ring offers a fascinating route immersed in nature. The route begins at the Parco dei Mulini and leads to the ancient Castello della Ripa, located near the gorges of the Orcia River. From there, it continues through the medieval village of Vignoni and then returns to the starting point. The trail is quite long and has some challenging sections, but the effort is amply rewarded by the extraordinary views of the Val d'Orcia landscape.

Bagno Vignone is a little gem that enchants visitors with its harmonious fusion of striking natural hot springs and historical remains that emerge along the way.

In short, this corner of Tuscany is just waiting to be discovered!
